New Installation in Poland: An Integrated Cleaning and Drying Solution to Maximize Corn Value

As part of the expansion of its activities in Central Europe, CFCAI recently supported the commissioning of a new installation in Poland dedicated to corn preservation and value enhancement.

This project perfectly illustrates our comprehensive approach to post-harvest technologies, based on the integration of the essential cleaning and drying stages to ensure grain quality while optimizing storage facility performance.

A Complete and High-Performance Technical Solution

The installation includes:

A LAW SBC 10NE continuous-flow grain dryer
A MAROT EAC 704 grain cleaner-grader

High-Performance Continuous Drying
The LAW SBC 10NE dryer was selected for its ability to provide efficient and fully automated corn drying under demanding operating conditions:

Inlet moisture content: 35%
Outlet moisture content: 15%
Drying capacity: up to 200 tonnes per day
Fully automated operation

This solution ensures safe grain storage while preserving product quality and reducing operating costs.

An Essential Cleaning Stage Upstream

To optimize drying performance, the installation is equipped with a MAROT EAC 704 cleaner-grader, ensuring efficient grain preparation before thermal processing.

Key features include:

Ø 805 mm rotary screen with 4 screening sections
A510 aspiration fan for effective removal of fines and light impurities
Cleaning capacity: 70 t/h
Pre-cleaning capacity: 90 t/h

Pre-cleaning is a strategic step that directly contributes to improving drying efficiency and preserving final grain quality.

Limagrain Drying Project

A Major Milestone Reached :

The installation project of the LAW maize dryers for the Limagrain cooperative is progressing according to schedule.

An important milestone has recently been achieved with the completion of the final lifting operation. The dryers are now fully assembled, marking the completion of the main installation phase.

The teams are currently focused on the finishing and integration works, including:

Cladding installation;
Electrical wiring;
Gas network installation;
Sprinkler system installation.

This progress reflects the commitment and expertise of all teams involved in the project. We would like to thank them for their professionalism and the quality of the work carried out.

We are seeking to hire a Maintenance engineer to boost our business growth in South-West France

Contract type : Unlimited term contract starting immediately.
Location : Itinerant position ideally based in Agen but possible in Bordeaux or Toulouse. 
Working conditions: Working from home with frequent on-site visits.

Annual visits and diagnostics on existing systems.
Coordinating with our teams to establish maintenance and repair estimates.

Remote grain dryer control : Expected Application?

A long awaited development meeting a well-recognized need. Now all LAW and SATIG grain dryers can be controlled remotely via a smartphone, computer or tablet.

Innovation and technology made simple

Designing a working app is one thing. Designing an app that is easy to use and with comprehensive features is something else altogether. CFCAI’s specifications were crystal clear: an app to meet every kind of need and that anyone can learn to operate proficiently within a few minutes.

The challenge seems to have been met as you don’t need to be an IT enthusiast to understand how it works. Its design is particularly user-friendly.

Remote grain dryer control: Alerts, alarms and PLC control

The app’s design means that many alerts (or even alarms) are immediately flagged up on smartphone, computer or tablet in the event of a minor or major incident or malfunction. Action can then be taken remotely to immediately solve the problem.

The app is not just for emergencies but can be used to control various PLCs and adjust settings to optimize drying performance. At a time when keeping energy bills under control is a major challenge for farmers everywhere, this app is far more than just another gadget.

The remote grain dryer control app uses Wi-Fi or 4 and 5G networks to connect to the remote maintenance system embedded in the latest grain dryers.

CFCAI enters the Pacific market

Like many French quality-driven companies, CFCAI has clocked up major successes on the international market.

CFCAI is already known throughout Europe (50% of our output), Africa, North and South America and Asia. Until very recently, only the Pacific was missing from the company’s export map. But no longer! A few months ago, CFCAI installed its first LAW grain dryer in New Zealand, on the other side of the world!

CFCAI now covers the five continents

“This is not just a one-off”, says Erwin Penzes, deputy CEO: “TGT, our British distributor, already had a New-Zealand cooperative as its business partner. This gave us a foothold. It’s certainly a good way in to setting up Law dryer in New-Zealand, but it’s far from enough to make a difference. Especially in our highly competitive market where the Pacific countries tend to look towards Asian or even American brands, which are far closer geographically.”

A pragmatic approach

Yet despite that handicap… “our industrial policy is based on three main principles: advanced technology, innovation and export-oriented development. We are proud of our products and know they lead the world in terms of efficiency. Greater energy-efficiency in our grain dryers was the factor that clinched the deal in this case. After only a few months of use, we know that our client is fully satisfied with the dryer’s grain drying qualities and its overall performance (LAW dryer – SBC9N FOD model). We are delighted and convinced that other cooperatives across the Pacific area will be interested now that we have made a name for ourselves.”
